pot of surprise

life's getting harder and i'm not getting any younger
am i going to complete the things i set out to do
it seems time is passing by faster and everybody
else is doing something, going somewhere

will the good things remain and blossom prettier
or will it all go downhill from here
i think i must change myself to make this world better
and make everyone around me happier

should we wait for tomorrow before any rash decisions
can we believe and hope for nice surprises
like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow after the showers

no worries no fear
i'll take myself further than i've been before
a step at a time and i'll leap and not fall
putting all my trust in the one I call God

Maybe then
we can finally find the pot of surprise after we've braved through the storms

My office location

I don't have much inspirations lately.. maybe cos I've been less emo. ha. So let me just do a random update.
For those who don't already know, I work as a marketing assistant for Branded Lifestyle, a company which retails Calvin Klein Jeans , Calvin Klein Underwear & Gant in Singapore, Malaysia. When I first joined the company, the office was in Great World City, a really convenient place with good food & shopping (lunch at Zion Rd market, Zara, Charles & Keith in the mall..=/) More than six months ago, we moved to a place not too far away from Great World, to this building called Tan Boon Liat (see pic below):

hmmm... look like factory right.... and the canteen food suckssss.. and it is quite a walk under the hot sun to either Great World or Tiongbahru. We see many buses of China tourists that flock to the restaurant above the canteen daily(left of pic, staircase leading up to restaurant). I wonder if its all that fantastic.

After months and months at this building, I found a surprise when I accompanied my colleague for her smoking break a at the corner of the building one day:

TADA! What a great view of the Holiday Inn Atrium's pool.

It is really quite a therapeutic retreat in the midst of work's stresses. So I found myself returning to the "blind" corner of Tan Boon Liat building just to enjoy the view for a few minutes everyday.

And from the building I can also see Clarke Quay (below, right) and even the Singapore Flyer!

Flyer in the middle of this pic above, notice a quarter of the wheel

And not forgetting, one of the highlights after work everyday, is ogling at the numerous sexy & pretty China girls that walk from the nearby bus stop to their workplace at Las Vegas KTV (below):

Those girls, they are really pretty, some of them look kinda elegant - don't look like KTV girls at all. But oh well.

Yes, thats' an update on my work location. Can't fathom, but its true. The toilets are damn dirty tooooo.
